ATBU Matriculation: 3,888 Students Matriculated, 2016/2017 Academic Session

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU Bauchi State, Nigeria has matriculated 3,888 students Friday 7th April, for the 2016/2017 academic session.
Prof. Saminu Ibrahim, the Vice Chancellor in a statement disclosed that the Faculty of Sciences has got a total number of 950 students making it the largest faculty amongst other faculties of the institution.
However, other faculties constituting of Faculty of Engineering and Engineering Technology, 719; Faculty of Technology Education, 723; and Faculty of Environmental Technology, 639, Faculty of Management Sciences had 454; College of Medical Sciences, 41 and Faculty of Agriculture, 272 students.
The Vice Chancellor also stated that courses at the university’s College of Medical Sciences has commenced adding that the National Universities Commission (NUC) had re-accredited nine (9) courses in the underlisted faculties;
However, other faculties constituting of Faculty of Engineering and Engineering Technology, 719; Faculty of Technology Education, 723; and Faculty of Environmental Technology, 639, Faculty of Management Sciences had 454; College of Medical Sciences, 41 and Faculty of Agriculture, 272 students.
The Vice Chancellor also stated that courses at the university’s College of Medical Sciences has commenced adding that the National Universities Commission (NUC) had re-accredited nine (9) courses in the underlisted faculties;
- Faculty of Technology Education and
- Environmental Technology which was earlier denied the institution.
Prof. Saminu urged all students to concentrate more on their studies and also pleaded with students to flea from immoral acts which would lead them to doom and failure at the institution; bad deeds which he listed are stated below:
- Cultism
- Improper dressing
- Illicit drugs
- Corruption and other vices
