Tomorrow's Peacebuilders Photo Prize 2018 Application Details

A competition for photography and peace has been launched, as part of the unique Tomorrow’s Peace-builders awards. These global awards for local peacebuilding are offering $1,000 as a prize for the photo that best illustrates local peacebuilding in action, or best communicates this theme.

We are looking for photos that illustrate the theme of local peacebuilding’.

They should capture the essence of local people actively building peace in their communities or localities, anywhere in the world. This means people who are: preventing conflict... resolving conflict as it happens... healing the effects of conflict... engaging in nonviolent action (sit-ins, marches), or creative actions (theatre, handing out flowers to oppressors) ... activities that are building long-term peace.

Photographs can also be symbolic, communicating these themes.
