Apply! AIDS 2018 Prudence Mabele Prize: Nomination Form

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the AIDS 2018 Prudence Mabele Prize / Nomination Form. The Prudence Mabele Prize nominations are invited for women and female-identified persons making deep connections between the fight against HIV, feminism and gender and reproductive justice.

The Prudence Mabele Prize is an endowed, biennial award honouring radical and courageous women who are making deep connections between the fight against HIV, feminism, and gender and reproductive justice.

The call for nominations is now open. We invite submissions from organizations for women or female-identified persons who embody Prudence’s activism in the response to HIV and issues related to feminism, and gender and reproductive justice. Calls for nominations will close on 14 May 2018 at 11:59 CET.

Applicants who prefer to submit by postal mail or email can download a Word version of the submission form in English, French or Spanish.

Prudence Mabele Prize Nomination Form Eligibility & Criteria.

1. Nominations are invited for women who are making deep connections between the fight against HIV, feminism, and gender and reproductive justice.
2. Nominations are invited for women and female-identified persons making deep connections between the fight against HIV, feminism and gender and reproductive justice.
3. They can be from any regions of the world.
4. All ages are welcomed, with nominations for young emerging leaders encouraged.
5. Submissions are preferred in English, French or Spanish.
6. Potential recipients should match the values that Prudence embodied:
7. Innovativeness: demonstrate the creativity of the nominee in their work, in line with the innovation Prudence showed throughout her life.
8. Perseverance: illustrate the tenacity of the nominee in achieving their accomplishments.
9. Social justice: exemplify how the nominee enhances social justice in both their work and personal life, with an emphasis on gender activism and vulnerable people.
