WAEC Bans Private School Teachers from Supervising Exams Across the Nation

The West African Examination Council popularly known as "WAEC" has reportedly banned placed private secondary school teachers from supervising WAEC internal and external examinations across the Nation.
The Public Affairs Officer, Demianus Ojijeogu disclosed this information to the general public after a meeting held by the board.
He said, WAEC has banned all private school teachers from supervising WAEC examinations across the nation, irrespective of their religion.
“We have recently uncovered that the said supervisors from private schools do aid exams malpractice, because they have nothing to lose. They have no pension nor gratuity from their employers, so most of them mainly look for money during national examinations.”
According to Demianus, private schools teachers supervising WAEC examinations have been found indulging in examination malpractices.
He further instructed aggrieved persons to reach the ministry of education for the reason for the ban.
Finally, he noted that any WAEC supervisor caught involved in malpractice will be punished, irrespective of the school the person in question is from.
