UNIBEN 1st & 2nd Semester 2017/18 Amended Academic Calendar Out

The University of Benin, UNIBEN Amended/Revised Approved Academic Calendar for Undergraduates for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

The Authorities of the University of Benin, UNIBEN has released the amended version of the academic calendar of events for undergraduates for the 2017/2018 academic session.

FIRST SEMESTER

1. 07/01/2018 – New Students come into residence for 2017/2018 academic session.
2. 08/01/2018 Clearance begins for new students.
3. 21/01/2018 – Old students come into residence.
4. 22/01/2018 – Lectures begin for all students for first semester of 2017/2018 Academic Session.
5. 16/02/2018 – Deadline for registration and payment of school charges/fees for 2017/2018 academic session.
6. 03/03/2018 – Matriculation (8 weeks after resumption).
7. 06/04/2018 – End of 1st semester lectures for 2017/2018 Academic Session (12 weeks).
8. 09/04/2018 – 13/04/2018 – Revision (one week).
9. 16/04/2018 – Examinations begin in Faculties of Education/Pharmacy/Engineering/Life Sciences/Physical Sciences/Environmental Sciences.
10. 20/04/2018 – CED Examination.
11. 23/04/2018–04/05/2018 – Other Faculties Examinations begin (two weeks)
12. 07/05/2018-11/05/2018 – GST Exams (CBT).
13. 14/05/2018-25/05/2018 – Students go down for first semester break (Two weeks break)

SECOND SEMESTER

1. 27/05/2018 – Students come into residence for second semester.
2. 28/05/2018 –  Lectures begin for second semester.
3. 17/08/2018 – Second semester lectures end.
4. 20/08/2018 – 27/08/2018 – Revision (one week)
5. 27/08/2018 – Examinations begin in Faculties of Education/Pharmacy/Engineering/Life Sciences/Physical Sciences/Environmental Sciences.
6. 31/08/2018 – CED Examinations.
7. 03/09/2018 – 14/09/2018 - Other Faculties Examinations (two weeks.)
8. 17/09/2018-21/09/2018 – General Studies Examinations.
9. 22/09/2018 – Students go down (end of 2017/2018 academic session).
10. 24/09/2018-05/10/2018 – Schools/Faculties/Institutes/Departments/Board of Studies  meet to consider 2017/2018 sessional results.
11. 08/10/2018-28/10/2018 – Business Committee  meets to consider results for lower level for 2017/2018 academic session.
12. 15/10/2018-19/10/2018 – Senate meets to consider Sessional Results for higher levels for 2017/2018 academic session.
13. 18/11/2018 – New students come into residence for 2018/2019 academic session.
14. 02/12/2018 – Old students come into residence for 2018/2019 academic session.
15. 3/12/2018 – Lectures begin for 1st Semester of 2018/2019  academic session.
