How to Check Voters Registration Status Online

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) made available for Nigerians the voters card registration portal and to check their voters’ registration status online.

INEC voters card registration process commenced since April 27, 2017 to enable qualified citizens to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards also known as PVCs.

How to Check and Obtain your PVCs (Permanent Voters Card).

Firstly, in order to obtain your voters card, you'll need to visit any Voters card registration centre near you. You can check online the Voters registration centres locations online: INEC Voters Registration Portal.

A list of states containing information on the LGAs for registration and the different registration centres under each local government.

Check Voters Registration Status.

To confirm if one had registered or not, one could visit: http://voterreg.inecnigeria.org and follow the instructions on the portal as provided.

1. To check your check your voter's card status online by visiting this LINK.
2. Enter your Voter's Identification Number (VIN) or your name and date of birth to locate your registration located at the front-page of your card in the form on verification page.

Alternatively, you can also check your voter status by sending an SMS with your State, Last name, Voter Identification Number (VIN) to any of the numbers below
081-7164-6879.

Format: State, Last name, VIN
Example: Kogi, Solomon, 10877

You should receive a response within 15 minutes.
