The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu hereby invites applications from qualified Nigerian students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions to participate in the 2017/2018 selection interviews for scholarship awards tenable in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
Application forms are available online and can be completed and printed by prospective candidates for endorsement by their HOD and Registrars of their institutions.

Federal Government Tertiary Institution Scholarship Eligibility.
i. UNIVERSITY UNDERGRADUATE:
All applicants must be full-time students in their second year of study and above in Federal or State Universities, they must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5.0 point scale or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.
ii. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND):
All applicants must be full-time students in their second year of study in any of the Federal or State Polytechnics or Monotechnics, they must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 4 scale or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.
iii. NIGERIAN CERTIFICATE IN EEDUCATION (NCE):All applicants must be full-time students in their second year of study and above in any Federal or State Colleges of Education and they must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 4 point scale, or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.
iv. POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP:Applicants must be registered full-time students of Federal or State universities and must have a minimum of second class Honours (Upper Division) in their 1st degree.
Federal Government Tertiary Institution Scholarship Interview Schedule.
Interview Dates:Northern States: (North East, North West & North Central): 19th – 23th March, 2018
Southern States: (South East, South West & South South): 26th – 30th March, 2018
Interview venue:Federal Unity Colleges in each State Capital including FCT
Where there is no Unity School in the State Capital, candidates should contact: The Secretary, State Scholarship Board in that State.

- Attach Photocopy of the following documents to the printed copy:
- Letter of admission
- Current Course Registration Form
- Last sessional CGPA RESULT
- Current School’s identity card
- Letter of identification from your State/Local government.
- Two(2) passport size photographs with your name written at the back and duly signed by you.
- Note: Printed copy should be endorsed (signed and atamped) by your HOD or Dean of Faculty of your institution.
- Submit two sets of the printed and endorsed form at the venue of the interviews as scheduled above
- Eligible candidates are advised to make only one entry as multiple entries will be disqualified.
- Candidates are allowed to attend interviews in centers nearest to them irrespective of the State of origin and Institution of domicile of candidates
How to Apply for Scholarship Online
All the eligible programmes for the scholarship awards are below:i) Undergraduate (UG) studies tenable in Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Serbia, Hungary, Egypt, Turkey, Cuba, Ukraine, Japan, and
ii) Postgraduate (PG) studies tenable in Russia (for those whose first degrees were obtained from Russia), China, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, e.t.c.

- Print the completed Application Form
- Submit two sets of the Printed Application Forms at the venue of the interview as scheduled
