Information reaching us that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threaten to embark on fresh strike as the Federal Government of Nigeria refused to attend to them as pertaining the earlier suspended strike.

As earlier agreed upon by the Federal government of Nigeria with ASUU to meet its requirements in order to proceed with academic activities before the end of October, 2017 but all went to dump ears as FG refuses to comply.
It was agreed upon by the Federal Government that after two weeks of strike suspension the Federal Government will issue licence for the registration of Nigerian University Pension Company (NUPEMCO) but failed to implement as stipulated.
Information has it that FG also defaulted in payment of owed Academic Allowances and Revitalisation Funds for Public Universities.
However, payment of the agreed 23 billion naira that was agreed to be remitted at the end of October as payment for the 2009/2010 Earned Academic Allowances of lecturers in public universities in Nigeria is yet to be made.
The ASUU however, informs the Federal Government to act fast over this issue in order not to resume Fresh strike.
