The Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) is a sub-regional intergovernmental economic organization, made up of twenty-two regular member Ports and Nine Associate members including landlocked Countries and Maritime Organisations, all located along the West Coast of the Africa Continent Stretching from Mauritania to Angola.

The Port Management Association of West and Central Africa recruitment is on for the following positions:
Job: Accounts Manager
Location: Secretariat of PMAWCA, Appapa, Lagos, Nigeria
Date of Commencement of Duty: 1st March 2018.
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract of five (5) years
Job Description
The Candidate must, under the authority of the Secretary-General:
- Manage Secretariate cash account and maintain an efficient bookkeeping record.
- Always, at least daily, monitor the resource and expense analysis and also report on financial status and Perform budget preparation and analysis
- Improve operative systems, procedures, and suggest corrective actions
- Supervise taxes and abide by federal regulations Carry out any other tasks that will be assigned from time to time.
- Carry out regular accounting activities including bank and cash account reconciliations,
- Prepare periodic reports on budget and cash analysis to assist Management in decision-making
- Coordinate the conduct of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as required
Job Requirements
- A natural citizen of Nigeria and at most 55 years old by March 2018.
- At least a B.Sc in Administration (Accounting/Finance option) from a recognised Institution, or another relevant professional qualification such as Chartered Accountants Certificate (CA/ACCA) Part It.
- Commendable organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Must be able to speak French, at least an everyday communication
- Must have the ability to work in a team in a culturally diverse environment
- Not less than four (4) years of proven relevant experience in the field of finance, account management in a corporate organization
- Have a mastery of the use of IT tools, especially use of related computer applications including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Internet, as well as the use of relevant accounting software and databases
