My Kingdom Will Assist NYSC Skills Centre - Monarch

The Obi of Ezi Kingdom in Delta State, Mohanyem I of Ezi, Agbogidi I, has assured of support towards the success of the NYSC Zonal Integrated Skills Acquisition Centre for the South-South sited in area.
The monarch gave the assurance today when the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, paid him a courtesy visit at his palace ahead of the flag-off ceremony of the project.
Agbogidi I noted that the skills centre was a huge project that would be of immense benefit, and said he was happy over the choice of Ezi as its location.
"I thank you for initiating the idea of this project. We need skilled youths in the society because a man with vocational skills will create job.
"The rate of crimes will reduce once our youths engaged positively," he said.
The monarch assured that his subjects were peaceful and law-abiding, adding that he would serve as a father to the skills centre.
He also expressed readiness to provide more acres of land whenever there is need for expansion of the centre.
Earlier, the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, told the monarch that the idea of establishing skills centres in the six geo-political zones was initiated with a view to making the Scheme's skills and entrepreneurship training more functional.
Kazaure pointed out that due to the huge rise in Corps population, coupled with the fact that white collar jobs were scarcely available, the Scheme had strengthened its resolve to complement Government’s efforts towards empowering graduates for self-employment and wealth creation.
He thanked the community for providing the land for the project, and sought their continued support towards the success of the project.
