This is to inform the general public that the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday pubic holiday to mark the end of Ramadan period (Id-El Fitr) celebrations across the country.

This holiday period will last from Monday, 26th to Tuesday 27th June 2017.
Eid-al-Fitr is the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal. It marks the end of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting and prayer. Many Muslims attend communal prayers, listen to a khutba (sermon) and give zakat al-fitr (charity in the form of food) during Eid al-Fitr.
Public workers are to be guided.
