Full List of Board Directors for NUC, JAMB, NECO, Others Appointed by P. Buhari

The reconstitution of the boards of 19 agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Education has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Mr. Chinenye  Ihuoma, the Director of Press in the Ministry of Education who disclosed to NAN that members of the board will run for a period of four years in the first instance. Ms. Ihuoma said the President took into cognizance provisions of the respective legislation with respect to composition, competence, credibility, integrity, federal character and geo-political spread.

Ms. Ihuoma who made the full list of those appointed as heads of the boards are as follows;

1. Ayo Banjo, National Universities Commission (NUC);
2. Emeka Nwajiuba, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)
3. Ekaete Okon, National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, NIEPA
4. Mahmud Mohammed, Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC;
5. Zainab Alkali, National Library of Nigeria;
6. Abubakar Saddiq, National Examination Council, NECO
7. Gidado Akko, National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, NMEC;
8. Gidado Tahir, National Commission for Nomadic Education, NCNE;
9. Leonard Karshima, National Business and Technical Education, NABTEB;
10. Adamu Baikie, Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN;
11. Maigari Dingyadi, National Commission for Colleges of Education, NCCE;
12. Kaka Yale, National Teachers’ Institute, NTI;
13. Buba Bajoga, National Mathematical Centre, NMC;
14. Emmanuel Ndukwe, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB;
15. N. N. Nnabuchi, National Institute of Nigerian Languages, NINLAN
16. Paul Unongo, Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council, NERDC;
17. Saliba Mukoro, Nigerian French Language Village, NFLV;
18. Modupe Adelabu, National Board for Technical Education, NBTE and;
19. O. Oladusi, Nigerian Arabic Language Village, NALV.

However, "The date for inuagration of New Board consisting of Chairmen and Members would be published soon" - She added.
