This University of Canterbury in cooperation with the Institute of Environmental Science and Research hereby invites applications from International students who wants to continue a PhD program at University of Canterbury, New Zealand worth NZ $21,000.

The University of Canterbury in Christchurch is New Zealand’s second oldest university. It became the second institution in New Zealand providing tertiary-level education. It became the second institution in New Zealand providing tertiary-level education.

Course Level:
The scholarship is available to pursue PhD programme.

Study Subject:
The scholarship is awarded to investigate the potential for phage-derived enzymes to be used as an intervention against bacterial pathogens of importance to food, water and medicine.

Scholarship Award:
The scholarship will cover the following:

Successful applicant will be enrolled at UC. International students at UC pay domestic fees and the University will assist you to obtain a student visa. This full scholarship includes a tax-free stipend of NZ $21,000 per year plus university fees for 3 years.

Eligibility Status:

• Applicants must have excellent results from previous educational programs.
• Applicants must have completed their bachelor degree and Master’s degree in microbiology or biochemistry, and be able to work independently
• Applicants must be International students
• Applicants should have a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology.
