25 Persons Arrested Over Illegal JAMB Registration And Extortion

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has arrested 25 persons over illegal registration and sales of 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) document.
Head of Public Relations, Dr Fabian Benjamin disclosed this during an interview stating, "reports from candidates made the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit to act".
He further said that this arrest was made were defaulters were caught selling JAMB syllabus and e-Brochure which was meant to be free at the cost of N800 and inflating the registration cost; the arrest was assisted by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), team of Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) and the Nigerian Police Force.
The also urged all candidates who are yet to register to desist from all forms of illegal registration units and locate an accredited centre close to him/her.
