Step by Step Guide: JAMB 2017 Registration Procedure

The sales of 2017 UTME Examination form is out. (Check previous post). This post is to show you "Step by Step Guide on how to go about JAMB 2017 Registration".

The date for Sales of Direct Entry forms - 2017 has already been announced. The JAMB examination will only be CBT based examintion. We have decided to dedicate our time in helping candidates get the best and easy way on how to go about JAMB registration and Examination this year.

Follow my instructions below and get things at ease but take your time to check more post/updates from us about JAMB examinations this year.  
Documents required for JAMB Registration
  1. All candidates are suppose to get a soft copy of  syllabus for examination
  2. A copy of Brochure
Step by Step Guide/Procedure to Register for JAMB 2017 examination
  1. Candidates must attain a valid email address
  2. All candidates must create a personal account on JAMB official portal  
  3. Payments are to be made at stipulated commercial banks nationwide or NIPOST
  4. Candidates are to visit any registration centres with evidence of payment and complete personal details
  5. The CBT centre or JAMB State Office, supplies, at no extra cost, the prescribed reading text and the CD containing:
    1.      e-brochure showing guidelines on admission detailing list of tertiary institutions and available programmes of study
    2. Syllabus (e-syllabus) forthe examination.
    3. Step by step guide on completing the application form
    4. A video messages from the Registrar of JAMB and a demo on how to use eight (8) keys for UTME examination without mouse.(For candidates with little familiarity with Computers)
  6. All candidates are required to conduct ten fingers biometric at registration centre and image will be captured and uploaded.
  7. O' Level or A' Level result will be required to fill the application process. Meanwhile all candidates who have awaiting results are to supply their results once their results are available on JAMB official portal
  8. No offline registration this year. 
  9. All candidates must endeavour to collect their evidence of registration (a printout) after completing the registration process.
  10. Registration centres are to charge candidates not more than N700 for registrations
  11. Candidates are to note that irrespective of their choice of course of study or method of testing, they will also be tested on a general text: “In Dependence” by Sarah Ladipo Manyika for UTME and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by H. Mohammed for Direct Entry Candidates.
